The Interplanetary Defense Force (IPDF) was a dominant faction in Le Conseil's Discord Server during the First and Second Faction eras, where it also served as the oldest and longest-existing faction during the former.
History
Origins
While the Interplanetary Defense Force was not founded until February 2021, its predecessor can be traced back in late 2020, where the acronym "IDF" was originally inspired by the IDS (Interplanetary Defense System). The IDS, which consisted of several satellites and bases around planets, maintained order against any threats posed in the solar system, most of them consisting of aliens and space pirates. Some speculate that the IDF was originally the armed forces of the IDS, but this latter theory became less popular once it was discovered that the creator of the IDS was Bubble, one of the main threats to the IDF.
Foundation
The exact foundation date of the IPDF is unknown, but its earliest mention can be found on February 10, 2021. On that day, Lo mentioned for the first time in Le Conseil Discord Server the former acronym of the faction, "IDF". As the other members tried to figure out what it meant, Lo later revealed that the acronym standed for Interplanetary Defense Force.
Spryzen Conflict
The IPDF had not participated in any major conflicts until the Spryzen Conflict, where it played a major role with other organisations under the coalition of Anti-Spryzen Federation.
